Hi! my name is Megan Philp, I'm 21 years old, and I'm addicted to Crossfit. I used to work out at conventional gyms, like Goodlife, and La Fitness, and I thought I was pretty fit! I was introduced to Crossfit my first year of College and got my butt handed to me my first workout! I fell in love with the sport from that moment on.
Groundworx is was the best decision I could have made! I am continuously blown away by the passion, extensive knowledge and support that all members of the staff direct towards every single person that walks in!
The programming is impeccable, and balances all aspects of fitness, in a way that can be applied to everyone, no matter what your goal is. However, what I think is most important, is the feeling that I get when I am there. The people that operate, and go to this gym are the most uplifting, caring, and motivating individuals. Not only physically, but mentally. This is the place to go. T
I have crushed goals that I have set out for myself, and had the coaches and members cheering me on while I was doing it! I have learned so much about myself at this gym, and feel as if I have a team behind me that will help me keep improving! Groundworx has created a “fitness family”, and a space that I look forward to come into everyday, to get a little fitter.
I have been a powerlifter since October 2000. I qualified for the world championships in 2002 and 2003. These past few years I noticed that running after the kids made me so tired and out of breath. My wife Perla introduced me to crossfit and I realized that I could be so much more than a lifter... A healthy lifter.
We have been at Crossfit Groundworx for a few months and I must say that it's like a second home to us. The coaches are so helpful and care about their athletes getting better stronger and healthier everyday.
My advice to anyone that want to get started is don't be afraid it's never to late to get healthy and nobody will judge you cause at groundworx the last one finishing the WOD gets all the cheering!! Groundworx is the place to start a new you👍"
Reason for joining CrossFit Groundworx:
Since moving to the area from Park City, Utah last year, my lifestyle became very inactive and the pounds were packing on. My blood pressure was becoming increasingly high with medication on the horizon. My wife, Jessica, encouraged me to visit Crossfit Groundworx and see what I thought.
It will be one year since I became a Groundworx member in December and it was one of the best decisions I've made.

My advice for others looking to join CrossFit:
Take the courage to come in and try it. Ask lots of questions of the Coaches (they love helping everyone improve). Keep showing up and be patient, the results will come. Finally, don't be shy and introduce yourself to others - everyone's story might just surprise you.
You will quickly realize the strong support network at Groundworx will push you to levels you have never reached before.
