When I joined the gym I just wanted to get back into fitness as I have 2 very active kids in various sports and was finding my own health was taking the wrong path. Like many of you I was just a working mum with a very busy schedule trying to fit time in for me. That’s when I joined to make improvements to my health and life.
What I love about Groundworx:
The variety and freedom to choose what classes or programming you feel like doing any day of the week! As a member you are not limited to only a certain number of CrossFit classes. They are open 7 days a week and offer CrossFit, Sweat classes, Olympic lifting, and open gym.
Favourite WOD: Anything with Deadlift or Bench, but especially the workouts I do with Coach Steve in my personal training sessions. I usually groan looking at his WODs on the white board but they are always challenging and have helped increase my strength and endurance over the past year.
What has Groundworx done for me over the years:
The Coaching Staff, programming, and members have all helped support me through my lifestyle changes that have helped me shed many inches, gained muscle, strength and endurance and learned to do things I thought I could never do. I never considered or thought of myself an athlete….but with the support of all the day to day training in our gym I gained the confidence to compete in not only our in house competitions but competitions outside of Groundworx! Groundworx has contributed to improving my overall health and well being so I can be a good mother and wife to my family. I can think clearly and be strong mentally and physically to tackle any of life's challenges.
